Beef Stew

2 # of Mike Willer Beef Stew meat (brown in oil)

2 T. oil                       

 

1 sliced onion

Garlic clove

4 c.  Boiling water

1 T. salt

1 T.  Lemon juice

1 t. sugar

1 t. Worcestershire sauce

½ t paprika

Bay leaf

Dash of allspice or cloves

Add, cover & simmer 2 hours

 

Add 6 carrots, 1 lb onions, and a few potatoes

Simmer 30 minutes

Gravy:

½ c cold water

¼ c flour

Mix above & add to stew.  Cook till gravy thickens and boils.

 

I like to add a bag of frozen peas a few minutes before serving.
