Meat Inspection

The wholesomeness of the U.S. meat supply is ensured by meat inspection.  All meat that is sold must, by law, pass inspection.  Inspection provides assurance to the consumer with confidence that all meat sold is from healthy animals, which are processed under sanitary conditions, and that the meat is safe to eat.

Everyone pays for meat inspection through taxes.  Its cost is not included in the price of the meat you buy.  Due to the thoroughness of inspection, U.S. meat products have a safety record that is envied throughout the world.

 

Federal & State Inspected meat is quite different.  Federally Inspected-processing facilities have their own set of guidelines & rules to follow.  Federally Inspected meat can be sold anywhere & in any quantity within the U.S.

 Consumers can be assured; buying meat that has been frozen right after cutting, is the safest  & cleanest way to purchase meat.  

 

 We received our Label, in June 2001, from the Food Safety & Inspection Service  (a division of the U.S.D.A.) Washington D.C. Having a Label along with being Federally Inspected assures the consumer that we are raising, feeding, & selling our livestock in a humane & just manner.
